Psychotherapist and EAP Associate Counsellor

I founded my practice with a simple belief: that everyone deserves a space where they can feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgement. My one goal has always been that everyone sent my way leaves feeling and being more than they ever thought they could.

Mission statement

“Helping people leave therapy better equipped, more self-aware, and more confident in navigating life's challenges.”

Nikky in the De Pungle Practice therapy room

As a Psychotherapist and Counsellor, I am passionate about supporting people through life's challenges, whether they are navigating anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or periods of uncertainty. My approach is rooted in Person-Centred values and shaped by the belief that meaningful change happens when we are given the space to explore our experiences with curiosity, compassion, and support.

Over the years, I have developed a warm, collaborative way of working that combines thoughtful reflection with practical insight, helping clients move towards greater self-awareness, resilience, and wellbeing.

How I work

I believe meaningful change begins when people feel truly heard, understood, and accepted. My approach is warm, relational, and collaborative, rooted in the belief that you are the expert in your own life.

Alongside providing a reflective and supportive space, I work with clients to connect self-awareness to grounded, real-life experience. For many people, understanding themselves is only part of the process; they also want to explore what that understanding means for their everyday lives, relationships, decisions, and future direction. I support clients in bridging that gap in a way that feels authentic and achievable.

Clients often describe therapy with me as a thoughtful and engaging conversation — one that not only explores challenges but also creates meaningful insight, clarity, and opportunities for growth.

Couples counselling — my speciality

Working with couples is where I feel most at home. I help partners slow down, really hear one another, and move away from resentment towards understanding. Together we look at the patterns that keep repeating, practise healthier ways to communicate and resolve conflict, and rebuild closeness — with faith included for couples who want it.

My story

My approach is informed by both professional training and a deep appreciation of the challenges people face in everyday life. Whether you're managing responsibilities, coping with health difficulties, supporting others, facing uncertainty, or going through a significant life transition, I offer a compassionate space to help you make sense of your experiences and move forward.

I also bring a lived understanding of caring responsibilities and experience supporting families through complex challenges — and if faith matters to you, it is welcome in the room.
